This agreement is entered between One on One Jiu-Jitsu ("Academy") and the undersigned member {name}.
1. Membership Options
The Academy offers the following membership options:
Annual Commitment Memberships
Unlimited Training — $115 per month
2 Classes Per Week — $85 per month
Hobbyist (1 Class Per Week) — $55 per month
Month-to-Month Memberships
Unlimited Training — $125 per month
2 Classes Per Week — $95 per month
Hobbyist (1 Class Per Week) — $65 per month
Additional Options
Drop-In Class — $20
Open Mat — $10
Membership billing and payment processing are managed through the Academy’s member management system.
2. Commitment Terms
Members who choose an Annual Commitment Membership agree to a 12-month commitment.
If a member cancels an annual commitment before the end of the 12-month term, an early cancellation fee of $200 will apply.
3. Cancellation Policy
All membership cancellations require 30 days written notice.
Cancellation requests must be submitted via email or through the Academy’s member management system.
Month-to-month memberships may cancel at any time with the required notice.
Annual memberships that cancel before the 12-month commitment will incur the $200 early cancellation fee.
4. Membership Freeze
Members may request a membership freeze of up to three (3) months per calendar year due to travel, injury, or other circumstances.
Freeze requests should be submitted in advance when possible.
5. Free Trial Class
New students may participate in one free trial class before enrolling in a membership.
6. Code of Conduct
To maintain a safe and respectful training environment, all members must follow the Academy’s standards of conduct.
Members agree to:
Show respectful training behavior toward instructors and fellow students
Follow instructor guidance and authority during all classes
Maintain proper personal hygiene and clean training gear
Never wear shoes on the mats
Help maintain a positive and safe training environment
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in suspension or termination of membership at the Academy’s discretion7. Health & Hygiene Policy
For the safety of all members:
Members must not train with contagious skin infections or illnesses
Training uniforms and gear must be clean and maintained
Proper hygiene is required before training
Members may be asked to sit out from training if these standards are not met.
8. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts training involve physical contact and inherent risk of injury.
By signing this agreement, the Member acknowledges and accepts the risks associated with martial arts training including, but
not limited to:
Muscle strains
Joint injuries
Cuts or bruises
Accidental physical contact
The Member voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation and agrees that One on One Jiu-Jitsu, its instructors, and
staff are not liable for injuries sustained during training, except where prohibited by law.
The Member also confirms that they are physically capable of participating in martial arts training and have no medical condition
that would prevent safe participation.
9. Personal Property
Members are responsible for securing their personal belongings.
One on One Jiu-Jitsu is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items brought onto the premises.
10. Termination of Membership
The Academy reserves the right to terminate membership without refund for behavior including but not limited to:
Unsafe training practices
Disrespectful behavior toward instructors or members
Violations of Academy rules
Harassment or misconduct
11. Media Release
Members grant permission for One on One Jiu-Jitsu to use photographs or videos taken during training for promotional purposes
including social media, website content, and marketing materials.
12. Founding Member Promotion (If Applicable)
The Academy may offer Founding Member memberships to a limited number of early members. Founding Members receive
locked-in promotional pricing while maintaining an active membership in good standing.
Founding Member benefits apply only while the membership remains active and may be revoked if the membership is canceled.
13. Agreement
By signing below, the Member confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this agreement.
